Long Term Memory
This song has been playing in my brain for two (2) days! I am not in love, have no one to love but the song just keeps on coming back!
It brings back memories of being a little kid, when the only love I knew was that unconditional love of parent, and other familial adults and my little friends. Memories come rushing back of playing house under the big Douglas fir tree, where it was always dry even in winter, that grew across the street from the house in Trail, British Columbia. I can see myself in blue pedal pushers, that is what we called those pants that reached your knees in those day, skipping with my friends! I was 'bess' in skipping and hopscotch, you know! Climbing trees, playing baseball and being sent outside to play was the mode. LOL! My heart is being tickled by this song and the remembrances it brings.
Those were the days when I my eyes would drink in the ladies in their mini dresses and pale lipstick and perfume. I would be filled with an excitement of somehow knowing that I would be looking just as good in my clothes, "when I grow big." Daddy would wear his Nehru collared shirts when he went out on special occasions his horn-rimmed glasses, which were all the rage.
Ain't it strange that I can remember all of that from all those years ago. Proof positive, that long-term memory is positioning itself for old age! Ha! Ha! Ha! Enjoy the music! Tell me of the ways in which your long-term memory is making preparation! Okay, I'll be nice...Click on the link below, tap you feet and bob your neck to this tune, then share with me what memories came back to mind.
