Friday night with no place to go

It's Friday and I managed to leave work early.
That only happened because I had an asthma attack that took me to the hospital where I waited for more than 90 minutes by which time the pain had lessened considerably so I went back to the office to work for bit and then zoomed out EArly.  Anyway, with an early Friday and no place to go but home, it seems that the garbage goes out more than me!  LOL!

So on a very warm evening, I decided to mellow out  head by heading to one of  my favorite websites, that is the BBC and I hit on this page "Touch of Soul".  It's great and even better with a glass of wine or in my case, rum punch made since Christmas 2014!  

The music takes me back to those days when the weekend meant Friday at the favourite watering hole, Saturday at that intimate date or partying hearty, Sunday mornings, church and brunch or if in a cold clime, just reading the Sunday papers and then studying.  Yes, I am smiling all over my face.  

Thought I would share with you and you too can recall and make new memories, just like me.

Why I Bother?

Someone one keeps on asking me,  with irritation in here voice, words to the effect, " why do you bother?  Why do you feel you have to change the world?"  She asked me this months ago and I could not respond.  I know my conscious intent isn't to change the world.  I do know that whatever knowledge I have I want to impart .  I do know I want to make this country, Trinidad and Tobago better.  As a matter of fact any country in which I live, I want to give to the fullest.   Early one Sunday morning my response formed and I preferred not to answer my friend directly rather,  to ease my mind, I wrote my answer on Facebook.  Now, I re-print here. _________________________________________________ I talk with everybody.
