November 29

I am staying home today because this low-grade fever that has been around for 2 weeks is still with me.  My back, fingers, knees, hips and head hurt like the dickens!   I think all this is happening because I am over-tired!  Okay, so it may just be a bit of old age J (sigh) LOL!

Staying away from work is a big deal for me since my job has no leave, whatsoever, therefore, no work, no pay.  I have a lot to bitch about this morning but instead I am going to express my gratitude.
Gratitude!   I am glad that I’ve been wise enough to put health before wealth and shall be staying at home today to get better soon.
Gratitude!   It is good to see the new dawn and know that today, I can make my life different and better.
Gratitude!   So glad for the help I got from my dear friend Caryl yesterday.  We spent about 5 hours yesterday editing the first 3 chapters of  my Final Report.  A little bit of clean-up and I can submit next week!
Gratitude!   I can now begin the draft of the last 4 chapters of my Final Report.
Gratitude!   That I did not give the dog, 2 hot slaps for disobeying me last night and fitting himself so far under the bed that I could not reach to drag him out and give him those slaps in my anger.  Sleep can indeed bring peace.
Gratitude!   I really enjoyed my ole talks with my God.
Gratitude!   I was able to help someone financially yesterday.  Nothing big and I hope it was used well…no, I won’t think about the way in which it may have been used, those thoughts would only make me shudder.  I gave with love and shall only have loving thoughts about its use.

Gratitude!   Yes, my friend got a job!  It’s in retail so it may be only for the Christmas but I am happy for him.

So it isn't a bad day after all. I'm resting up and will soon be better!  WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR TODAY?

Until,

  1. Today, I am grateful that I can breathe easily and freely. That I have food leftover from yesterday and the temperature has gone up 5 degrees C. As Ma used to say " thank God for small mercies. Have a pleasant week, and try a little aloe gel and honey, a.m. and p.m. It might improve things. Love. M.

  2. Hi J!
There is always something to be grateful for. One really does not have to look hard or far. I stopped counting my blessings because they are too many to count and they keep coming. Instead, I start and end all my prayers with thanks.

May the Light of the Lord never cease to shine on your path.
    Many, many blessings.
    Thuso
